So this has been a long time, since I've posted. Winter break between semesters was a godsend! I needed this time to bust out three bags for Christmas presents, sadly no photos to show for that. I also FINISHED my lap quilt that I started during the summer. It was my first attempt at hand sewing a binding. Here's the final piece of glory:
I also treated myself to a new, larger bag, to further assist with my ridiculous commute into the city everyday. For Christmas I received a book of Amy Butler bag designs. It's awesome! Here's the finished product, a Cosmo Bag roomie and spacious enough to accommodate all of my needs!

Now the Spring Semester has started up again, and I'm back in art librarian mode! It's my final semester and I'm so STOKED to dive into the art library world! I hope and pray for a chance to get my foot in the door working in a visual resources department, or the image library of an academic institution.
I just finished having a small vaca with mum, going to IKEA, the museum, shopping, and just hanging out. It was so nice! She's seriously the BEST and I'm always thankful when she makes the trek south to see me! I loved hanging out with my shopping buddy and sewing partner! Mom's are priceless, and dearly cherished.
What's next on my crafty plate while I get through the semester? I'm making a bag for Mum, upon request, and I'm going to play with zippers and teach myself how to attach them and make cute stuff with them!! Wish me luck ;-)
